The Flu Monster
I am sick as a dog with the flu. I've been sick since Tuesday and I'm not getting any better. Man oh man I don't know when I've been this sick. There's not one part of my body that's not aching and on fire. I've missed the 48 hr window for Tamiflu so I guess I'll just have to ride it out. If anybody knows any home remedies please share. Despite my best efforts to shield my sweet girl, she's developed a runny nose and a slight cough. God I pray it doesn't get any worse. I called the pediatrician and they said to give her Benadryl for the runny nose so that's what I've been doing. This seriously sucks!
Oh a happier note, here's a pic of my 2 sweeties at the park the other day.

Happy Valentines Day
We celebrated VDay a couple of nights early. We knew the crowds would be horrendous tonight. We had a nice dinner and took in a movie. Sweetums did pretty good during the movie. It was only a couple of other people in the theatre so it worked out great.
My baby girl looked so cute in her red & white. She even sat relatively still while I put her ponies in.
This morning daddy gave her, her first Valentines candy & a lil Snoopie stuffed animal.
Thanks Daddy, I love it!
Ummmmm chocolate is the best, yummy for my tummy

Dreamy
Yesterday was one of those days you dream about before you have kids. Hubby and I always dreamed about going to the park and running & playing with our baby girl. We had so much fun & to see the sheer joy in my baby's sweet face was just magical.
Gracie getting a little to close to Cujo, I had to quickly intervene.
This cute little group was giving out free hugs. I thought that was the neatest thing. After I gave the young lady a big hug, I told hubby I wanted to hold the sign and give out hugs. He walked away quickly with Gracie in tow.
Gracie running away from Ned the Wino.
Look at my baby, doesn't she look like she posing for ANTM?

The Church Saga Continues
Poor hubby is insistent on taking Ms. Gracie to church. I've talked many times on this blog about our church escapades. The 11:00 o'clock service is smack dab in the middle of Gracie's nap time and as a result she really acts poorly during the service.
I've asked many, many people for advice and haven't gotten anything that works. We don't want to put her in the church nursery so that doesn't leave many options.
I am fine watching Joel Olsteen or whoever on the telly. Hubby says we MUST attend service. Gracie cannot sit still or be even moderately quiet. It's not fair to the other parishoners. So we find ourselves at an impasse.
This morning hubby demanded I get Gracie ready for church. So I did and off they went. My poor sweetums was already fidgeting , whining and wiping her little eyes. The last 2 times hubby attempted to take her to church he returned home before service was even underway. Let's see how he does today. To be continued......
Update
Well The need for her nap won out. Poor hubby was back home within 30 minutes. Gracie did her usual song and dance. Hubby was forced to pack up her diaper bag and leave in defeat. He looked so pitiful when he returned home. I really felt bad for him. Gracie on the other hand was in high spirits, she had big hugs and kisses for her momma then laid down and promptly drifted off to dreamland. Lawd, Lawd that's my baby girl.
